Una casa lontano da casa

Quest’anno abbiamo deciso di concederci una vacanza, la meta era la Grecia, ci siamo stati nel 2012 e ce ne siamo innamorati. Avevo visto delle fotografie di Rodi e mi era piaciuta l’dea di andarci, come al nostro solito abbiamo iniziato a pianificare la cosa con molto…. Ribadisco molto anticipo, febbraio per luglio! Ma poi vi racconterò nel dettaglio di cosa vedere e fare a Rodi, scriverò un articolo.
Alla fine abbiamo deciso di trovare una sistemazione nel mezzo dell’isola da poter così raggiungere tutte le varie mete con facilità, Rodi è un’isola stretta e lunga con un’arteria principale che la attraversa da un capo all’altro, la nostra scelta è caduta su Kalathos. Cercavamo uno Studios e ci siamo imbattuti nel Daniel Luxury Apartments, che è un albergo costituito da appartamenti, la collocazione era perfetta, il prezzo ottimo e abbiamo prenotato. 
Mai decisione fu più azzeccata 🙂 … ci siamo trovati benissimo, e il risultato è stato ben oltre le nostre aspettative, avevo letto il motto dell’hotel “Il nostro obiettivo è quello di creare la vostra casa lontano da casa.” Questo motto mi aveva molto colpito, ebbene si, se quello era il loro intento ci sono riusciti!
Quando siamo arrivati siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e cortesia, caratteristica tipica dei greci, il signor Stergos,(spero si scriva così) gentilissimo direttore della struttura si è subito messo a disposizione, ci ha mostrato la stanza e indicato tutte le caratteristiche dell’hotel ci ha anche aiutato a pianificare i nostri giri turistici dandoci molti utili consigli e dritte su cosa vedere e quando andare, ci ha anche informato che per qualsiasi cosa ci potevamo rivolgere a lui, insomma un’accoglienza davvero perfetta.
Ma ora parliamo della struttura, l’hotel e un incrocio tra un appartamento (anche molto spazioso) e un hotel, l’arredamento era tutto nuovissimo e di buon gusto le pulizie sono state accurate e giornaliere, cosa a cui io tengo molto, e la camera era dotata di tutti i confort, alla fine il signor Stergos ci ha anche fornito una macchina espresso per il caffè con le capsule, sapendo che eravamo italiani ce l’ha portata subito, le cialde ovviamente sono a pagamento ma il prezzo onestissimo un euro a capsula lo stesso prezzo che ha in Italia, ne abbiamo usufruito poco, poiché io per concetto quando vado all’estero non mangio italiano e non prendo caffè italiano, ma solo ed esclusivamente ciò che consumano in quel paese! Una cosa che ci ha fatto molto sorridere è che ci hanno “seppellito” di asciugamani, cosa al quanto singolare, visto che in altre strutture ci siamo trovati ad elemosinare un asciugamano in più, tuttavia essendoci qui la piscina il personale si assicura che gli ospiti ne abbiano una in più! Ma ora vi espongo nel dettaglio l’hotel.

Daniel Luxury Apartments è un l’unico Apartment Hotel situato a Kalathos, a soli 600 metri dalla spiaggia di Kalathos e a cinque minuti di auto dal villaggio di Lindos.  Fuori alla struttura si trovano negozi, a portata di mano, si può fare la colazione in una panetteria proprio a fianco della struttura, oppure, potete mangiare delle splendide pitas con souvlaki (Il souvlaki è un popolare cibo rapido greco costituito da carne e, a volte, verdura, grigliate su di uno spiedino. Può essere servito sullo spiedino, come panino in una pita, con salse e condimenti .) Insomma, si pranza o cena con pochi euro! Anzi ve le consiglio perché sono davvero ottime! A settecento metri si trova un supermercato molto rifornito.

Servizi del Daniel Luxury Apartments:
• Reception aperta 24 ore al giorno è disponibile il check-in/out degli ospiti in qualsiasi orario.
• L’area piscina offre lettini gratuiti e una zona barbecue pubblica, ovvero, una zona barbecue per uso comune da parte degli ospiti è disponibile presso la piscina dove gli ospiti possono fare il loro proprio barbecue, in qualsiasi momento della giornata (carbone viene fornito gratuitamente).
• Un salone climatizzato è disponibile per intrattenimento dove troviamo: un tavolo da biliardo, poltrone massaggianti, distributori automatici vari, Business Center con accesso a internet e servizi di stampa, videogiochi e 2 grandi televisori .
• La zona lettura con scambio di libri gratuito (ce ne sono in tutte le lingue).
• Wi-Fi è gratuito e disponibile in tutte le aree dell’hotel.
• Disabili firendly L’accessibilità è molto confortevole in tutte le aree dell’edificio. Una rampa è posizionata all’ingresso dell’edificio e anche sul retro dell’edificio (zona piscina). L’ascensore è disponibile e accessibile da tutti i livelli della costruzione.

Appartamenti e Servizi

Rinnovato di recente, nel Daniel Suites Apartments le camere sono tutte molto confortevoli e spaziose. Tutti gli appartamenti sono dotati, in base alle più recenti normative di salute e sicurezza, di rivelatori di fumo che sono installati in ogni settore di ogni appartamento, i telefoni di emergenza sono disponibili in ogni area di ogni appartamento, l’allarme sonoro di emergenza è installato in tutte le docce o vasche da bagno e luci di emergenza sono installate in ogni area di ogni appartamento e intorno all’edificio. Tutte le camere sono dotate di servizi quali:
• Cucina completa con, piano cottura elettrico, forno a microonde, grande lavello, lavastoviglie, frigorifero, tavolo da cucina e lavatrice.

• Tutti i salotti sono dotati di TV satellitare, divano che si trasforma in un letto matrimoniale ortopedico (negli appartamenti più grandi), telefono, e 1-2 balconi1-2 camere da letto e 1-2 bagni
• I bagni sono spaziosi e hanno una cabina doccia o vasca, a seconda delle dimensioni dell’appartamento. Negli appartamenti con 2 camere da letto ci sono 2 bagni (uno con doccia e l’altro con vasca da bagno). Nei bagni vi è un asciugacapelli, accappatoi, prodotti da bagno, pantofole, ventilazione, cicalino di emergenza.

• Le camere hanno la cassetta di sicurezza
• Aria condizionata in tutte le aree
• Wifi gratis
• Piscina.

In conclusione, ci siamo trovati molto bene in questa struttura è nuova ben arredata dotata di tutti i confort e gestita da persone genuinamente gentili, accoglienti ed educate. Mi sento di consigliarvi di soggiornarvi, anzi se avete intenzione di fare un viaggio a Rodi, soggiornate qui e non ve ne pentirete, poi come vi ho già accennato sopra la collocazione è strategica, come potete vedere dalla mappa :

A home away from home

This year we decided to take a holiday, the destination was Greece, we were there in 2012 and loved it. I had seen pictures of Rhodes and I liked the idea to go there, as our usual we started planning it with very …. I repeat very early, in February for July!
In the end we decided to find an accommodation in the middle of the island so we could reach all the various destinations easy, Rhodes island is long and narrow with a major artery that runs through it from end to end, we decided for Kalathos. We were looking for a Studios and stumbled in Daniel Luxury Apartments, which is a hotel consisting of apartments, the location was perfect, great price and we booked. Daniel Luxury Apartments
Decision was never so good 🙂 …we had a great time, and the result was much more than our expectations, I had read the hotel’s watchword was “Our purpose is to create your home away from home.” This watchword impressed me, and yes, if that was their intent they succeeded!
When we arrived we were greeted with kindness and courtesy, typical characteristic of Greek, Mr. Stergos, (I hope i write it correctly) friendly manager of the hotel he immediately showed us the room and shown all the features of the hotel also helped us to plan our tours and giving us lots of useful tips on what to see and where to go, he also informed that for anything we could ask him, in short, a genuinely perfect.
But now let me speak of the structure, the hotel is a cross between an apartment (also very large) and a hotel, the furniture was all brand new and tasteful the cleaning has been accurate, everyday, something which I care a lot, the room was equipped with all comforts, Mr. Stergos even gave us an espresso machine for coffee capsules, knowing that we were Italians have it brought right away, the waffles are obviously paid but an honest price one euro for capsule, the same price it has in Italy, we have benefited little, because I for concept when I go out of my country I do not eat Italian and I do not take Italian coffee, but only and exclusively we consume the local products! One thing that made us smile a lot it that we have “buried” with towels, the thing was for us singular, as in other places we had to beg for an extra towel, but I think is becouse here there is the pool sow the staff will ensure that guests have one more! But now teaching you in detail the hotel.

Daniel Luxury Apartments is the only Apartment Hotel located in Kalathos, just 600 meters from Kalathos Beach and five minutes drive from the village of Lindos. Kalathos beach Outside the hotel there are shops, very closed, you can have breakfast at a bakery right next to the hotel, or you can eat wonderful pitas with souvlaki (The souvlaki is a popular fast food greek consisting of meat and sometimes vegetables grilled on a skewer. It can be served on a skewer, like sandwich in a pita, sauces and condiments.) sow, you can have lunch or dinner with a few Euros! Indeed I advise because they are really good! Seven hundred meters, on the road  you can find a very stocked supermarket.

• Reception open 24 hours a day is available check-in / out to guests at any time.
• The pool area offers free sun beds and a barbecue area public, the barbecue area for common use by guests is available at the pool here guests can make their own barbecue, at any time of the day (coal comes free).
• An air-conditioned lounge is available for entertainment where we find: a pool table, massage chairs, various vending machines, business center with internet access and printing services, video games and 2 large TVs.
• The reading area with free book exchange (there are in all languages).
• Wi-Fi is free and available in all areas.
• Wheelchair firendly Accessibility is very comfortable in all areas of the building. A ramp is located at the entrance of the building and also on the back of the building (pool area). The lift is available and accessible to all levels of the building.

Apartments and Services
Recently renovated, the Daniel Apartments Suites rooms are very comfortable and spacious. All apartments are equipped, according to the latest standards of health and safety, smoke detectors are installed in every area of each apartment, emergency phones are available in every area of each apartment, the audible alarm emergency is installed in all showers or baths and emergency lights are installed in each area of each apartment and around the building. All rooms are equipped with amenities such as:
• Complete kitchen with electric stove, microwave, large sink, dishwasher, refrigerator, kitchen table and washing machine.
• All living rooms are equipped with satellite TV, a sofa that converts into a double bed orthopedic (in larger apartments), telephone, and balconies 1-2 1-2 bedrooms and 1-2 bathrooms
• The bathrooms are spacious and have a shower or bath, depending on the apartment size. In the apartments with 2 bedrooms there are two bathrooms (one with shower and the other with bath). The bathroom comes with a hairdryer, bathrobes, toiletries, slippers, ventilation, emergency buzzer.
• Air conditioning in all areas
• Free Wifi
• Pool.

In conclusion, we found ourselves very well in this new structure, is well furnished with all the comfort and managed by people genuinely friendly, welcoming and polite. I would advise you to stay there,  if you plan to take a trip in Rhodes, stay here and as I have already mentioned above,  the location is strategic, as you can see from the map.
